I AM DRAG

BEHIND THE MAKE UP

Drag queens are often viewed as entertainers that ‘dress-up’ before going on stage but in many cases, the life of a Drag Queen does not end at curtain call. The goal of this book is to give Drag Queens the opportunity to showcase their talent, while giving them a chance to discuss their hopes and dreams, to describe the challenges they face(d) along the road to the stage, and to voice their concerns about the future of Drag in North America and across the world in this new era of conservatism

I AM TRANS

WHY ARE WE ANY DIFFERENT?

While most men and women’s gender identity is not in question, people who are transgender feel different, often expressing being trapped in the ‘wrong’ body. Transgender individuals are often ostracized from society and sometimes abandoned by their family because they don’t adhere to society’s gender norms. As a result, transgender youth are more likely to harm themselves. The goal of this book is to give Transgender people the opportunity to discuss their hopes and dreams and describe the challenges they face with coming to understand who they truly are.

These books are works in progress. If you want to participate in their development please send me an email using the link above.
